Quintric™

UPMA Migration

Off-chain Quintric holdings are now maintained and serviced via the United Precious Metals Association (UPMA) web portal in the form of Gold Dollar leases for Quint and Silver Dollar leases for QuintS. Balances from the fomer escrow.quintric.com site were migrated to UPMA in early 2021. If you don’t already have a UPMA account, but you did at one time have a Quintric account, you can set up your credentials by clicking Login below, entering your email address, and then clicking the “I Forgot My Password” link. You will then be guided through the process of setting up a new password for your UPMA account. If you never had a Quintric account, simply click Login and then follow the instructions for account creation.

The UPMA portal supports USD deposits for conversion into precious metal currencies and leases, withdrawal of your precious metal holdings, exchange of Gold and Silver Dollars for Quintric Tokens available on the Bitshares Decentralized Exchange (DEX), or conversion back into USD. UPMA offers reloadable debit cards which can be funded by your USD account balance.

Once you’re logged into your UPMA account, you can use the Transfer function in the left-hand menu pane to move Gold Dollars to your DEX account as Quint and Silver Dollars as QuintS, each converting at a rate of one specie dollar for twenty tokens. Simply transfer the amount that you would like converted to Quint or QuintS.

If you are comfortable with cryptocurrencies, we certainly recommend holding your gold and silver as Quint and QuintS on the Bitshares DEX, as no charge for vaulting and insurance applies there. In addition, the DEX opens up significant worldwide trading opportunities for numerous other listed tokens.

You can always move your Quint or QuintS back to UPMA for USD redemption or coin withdrawal by sending your tokens to quintric-trust on the Bitshares DEX. Be sure you have registered your Bitshares account with UPMA before doing so. By default, Quint and QuintS moved from the DEX to UPMA remain in a leased status, so as not to incur vaulting or insurance fees that apply to vaulted holdings.
